Bookreview

A book that I read in ESL class was JACKE’S WILD SEATTLE by WILD HOBBS. I would enjoy reading it. The content in the book is about Shannon and Cody are not looking forward to this summer. Their parents are going to Afghanistan for the summer to help victims of the war in Afghanistan and Shannon and Cody are going to Seattle to live with their uncle. It has been a few months. The year is 2002 and Shannon and Cody are still reeling from the events of September 11, 2001 when a family friend died in the world Trade Center bombing. When they get to Seattle they are surprised to discover that their uncle has a new job. Cody and Shannon get to help him for the summer. Along the way they have quite a few adventures with animals including skunks, deer, and raccoons. The book is so surprised. The people and places in the book are so well described that I could easily imagine them in my mind. I suggested that other people read this story, as it is very enjoyable.
